Group Workshops

Introducing private workshops and teaching in 2017.

I have been invited to many many wonderful venues over the years and I have chosen my very favourite; ones where I feel they share a common view of what we want to deliver to the students. A place where you can go and relax and be looked after. But because I'm so darn picky I only go to a few throughout the country and they get booked up very quickly, often with people waiting for a year or two to get a place. I appreciate this must be immensely frustrating, so to offer people a chance to get some stitching time and a good old gossip with me I thought it about time I let you all know I can do private workshops too.

The way this works is that if you have a group of friends who are itching to give making pretty things a go, you can arrange your own day with me in the comfort of your own home. I am very flexible to accommodate your making needs.

These private workshops are available to corporate companies, teachers for personal development days, schools, embroidery guilds, local textile groups, ladies that lunch, men that lunch, you name it.

You could have it as a birthday party, a hen party, or just a very well earned treat and rest. It's a wonderful form of therapy too so I also find that very ill people who are unable to travel but need or want to use precious time to create wonderful memories find this way of working the very best for them.

The projects we can make will depend heavily on the time you want me, i.e. a lampshade can not be made in a day but a lantern could be. So this is something we will chat about so your needs are met realistically. Below are some of the workshops you can do with length of workshop times, costs and some pretty pictures.

A selection of workshops you can chose from can be found below.

What to do...

  • Fill out the contact form below giving me an idea of what you would like to learn, a lampshade workshop, a guild talk, an event talk, a school book etc.
  • Let me know a selection of dates you would like the workshop to be held on, do give me a few so I work things out through my diary as it gets rather full.
  • Then we can have a chat based on your needs. Via phone or email to discuss your location and what you'd like to be taught. Accommodation, travel expenses, materials will be discussed too.
  • An invoice will be sent out a month before the workshop will go ahead and must be settled no later than two weeks before the event or the booking will be cancelled. Special arrangements for payment can be made for larger organisations.
  • The organisation of the attendees and food (if needed) will be down to you, you are the host and I am the teacher.
