Not only is Marna a fine artist and maker she is a trained florist, which explains her understanding of flowers and their colours, contrasts and shapes that inform her work. Her painstaking hand stitched pictorial artworks are full of personality with eclectic combination of fabrics, texture and colour. More information on Marna
Join us in a flower filled studio and learn how to use fabric, textures and colour to produce a beautiful stitched artwork inspired by nature. Embroidery expert Marna will help you draw your own floral design and transfer it to a fabric as well as demonstrate a wide variety of stitches. Appliqué with fine Liberty lawns and a riot of colourful prints, the results will be indicative of Marna’s signature style but with a personal resonance. The finished work could be made into a wall canvas, tea light holder or small lampshade and these processes will be covered. £75 inc lunch and all materials

Embroidery is incorporated into every part of Marna’s life and to help her children understand rules we have to live by to make the world a nicer place she got out her needle and thread. Marna’s home now has a set of beautifully stitched hangings that set out personal values for her house & family, including Mums rules!
You will be shown how to construct your canvas, embellishment ideas and embroidery stitches to help you make a text based wall hanging. The content is totally up to you and could set out your rules or be inspired by Marna's. £75 inc lunch & all materials
